I am an experienced editor specializing in nonfiction, fiction, poetry, children’s literature, journalism, and scholarly work. With a strong respect for authorial voice and a meticulous eye for detail, I offer developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and final proofreading to help manuscripts reach their fullest potential.
As a dedicated literary professional and community advocate with a deep-rooted commitment to the Flint, Michigan, community, I have focused on bridging the gap between educational resources and the families who need them most. I've served communities as a Board Director for the International Academy of Flint, Flint Club, East Village Magazine, and Martha Cook Building. I believe that literacy is the foundation of empowerment; by helping student writers find their voices and publish their stories, I’ve seen firsthand how the power of the written word can transform a community. Beyond advocacy, my work extends into editing academic research, specifically exploring the ethics of technology and ethnic bias in AI systems.
